Hello! My name is Mindy, and I am the owner of Pressing Ahead; a woman-owned and run small business. I’m a wife, dog momma, and a middle school Language Arts teacher who made the difficult decision during the pandemic to leave the classroom to pursue a dream and passion of mine to start a small business. I’ve always loved being creative and finding unique ways to express myself. While I once had that creative outlet in my classroom, I have now once again found that love of creativity in designing and making apparel and accessories. 

Pressing Ahead was thoughtfully and meaningfully named as a reminder to myself and others to never give up and to keep pressing forward. I’m grateful every single day that I took a leap of faith as it’s given me opportunities to meet and connect with so many amazing humans and entrepreneurs, as well as allowing me to grow in ways that I never imagined… personally and professionally. 

My love languages include dogs, iced coffee, reading and journaling, acts of kindness, and comfy clothes; all of which are the inspiration behind the pieces and creations you’ll find in my shop. So if you love dogs (or any animals!), coffee, and cute apparel, we should be friends!
